YOU are invited and encouraged to attend our Ash Wednesday Service, March 1st, 7:00 p.m.

Begin the season of Lent by pausing to reflect, pray, receive ashes, and to make your personal commitment to keeping a holy Lent.

INSIDE OUT WOMEN’S BIBLE STUDY- Inside Out Women’s Bible Study is a 4 week Lenten Study. Join us on four Thursday mornings for a Lenten study based on the book A Clearing Season by Sarah Parsons. Dates for this study will be March 16th, 23rd, 30th and April 6th and all sessions will be in the Learning Center at the church from 10:00–11:15 a.m. Reading the book is not a requirement but will be used by facilitator, Martha Hall, as a teaching resource. Please let Martha or the church office know if you would like to be a part of this study group.

INTERTWINE YOUTH GROUP-Join Intertwine Youth Group at 9:30 a.m. on March 4th as they serve our community at Common Ground Free Store Ministries. Come with an open mind and an open heart to serve wherever the store may need you!!

WONDER-FULL WEDNESDAYS!!!   Join us  Wednesday, March 8th! We invite children age 4 -4th grade to join us for food, fellowship and fun the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of the month, 5:30-6:30 p.m.!

BILL STREET BOOK CLUB March 6th, 6:30 p.m. in the Learning Center. We will discuss Nadia Hashimi's When the Moon is Low  and Small Great Things by Jodi Picoult.

SOUPS FOR SHELTER- Help support Habitat for Humanity of Delaware & Union Counties by participating in the 15th Annual Soups for Shelter on March 22nd, 4:30 – 7:30 p.m. at St. Mary School, 66 E William Street. Tickets are $15.00 apiece and include a soup meal and a beautiful handmade ceramic bowl. Children under 10 dine free.

BRIDGES OUT OF POVERTY-A series of best practices and concrete tools that brings people from ALL economic classes together to address all causes of poverty in order to: BUILD resources, IMPROVE jobs retention rates, REDUCE health inequities, IMPROVE outcomes and SUPPORT those who are moving out of poverty. Bridges Out of Poverty I, April 21st, 5:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. and Bridges Out of Poverty II, April 22nd 9:00 a.m. -4:00 p.m., at Andrews House. If you would like to register, please call Andrews House at 740-369-4520.

LENTEN FILM FESTIVAL—A FILM AND A FEAST!!  Beginning March 12th and continuing each Sunday during Lent, you are invited to attend a 4:00 p.m. showing of a movie, followed by discussion during a potluck dinner. Each week we will see a movie that is meant to inspire viewers to grow in love with God and with one another. Please bring a dish to share; and, if you wish, a contribution to help cover childcare and snack expenses. While adults view the film, the children will enjoy a movie just for them, unless parents choose for older children to view the selected feature. When the feature is a family film, we will not have childcare available. God will join us at the movies, we hope you will too!

HELPING...Do you have time to help out with "odd jobs" around the church? Jobs like replacing ceiling tiles, painting, organizing, mowing, etc.? If so, sign your name and contact info on the volunteer sheet in the bulletin and write "jobs" somewhere on the form and a trustee of the church will be in touch with you. Thanks!

FELLOWSHIP HOUR- If you are looking for a way to help build community and grow friendships, volunteer to host Fellowship Hour. You may either sign up on the sheet in the Narthex or on your volunteer opportunity sheet in this bulletin.

FIRST WEDNESDAY COMMUNITY MEAL- Join us Wednesday, March 1st for our First Wednesday Free Community Meal. Volunteers are needed : cooking from 3-4:30 p.m., serving 4:30-6:30 p.m., and clean-up 6:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.. Please sign the volunteer sheet if you can help and/or provide a dessert, even if you are a "regular" helper. It helps us know how to plan if we know our volunteer base. Thank you! All are invited to come by for dinner, we serve 5-6:30 p.m.!!  Then, plan to attend our 7:00 Ash Wednesday Service.

AS A NEW RECONCILING CONGREGATION we are invited to a  West Ohio Reconciling Ministries Network meeting, March 5th, 3-5 p.m. at Worthington UMC.  Please sign the volunteer sheet if you can attend, indicate RMN meeting.
